Filter element W – water separator

FST filter element W for water separator

Our robust filter element W is responsible for the coarse separation of particles up to cleanliness class X. In the water separator, placed for example directly behind the aftercooler, it removes larger particles and liquid components from the compressed air.

With a separation rate of 99.9 %, it protects the downstream elements from larger impurities. In this way, it extends the service life of all downstream filters. In addition, filter element W keeps the differential pressure in the compressed air system low.

Application

Removal of larger particles and liquids.

Filter element V – coarse filter

FST-Filterelement V: Grobfilter

Our robust filter element V with a separation rate of 99.99 % is used as a pre-filter for coarse separation. As a coarse filter, it protects the downstream fine filters from greater contamination by solid particles up to compressed air purity class 6, thus increasing the service life and effectiveness of the fine filters.

Filter element ZN – fine filter

FST-Filterelement ZN: Feinfilter

With a remarkable separation rate of 99.9999 %, the ZN filter element is a fine filter. As a coalescence filter, it separates both fine particles and the smallest liquid components. These filter elements are often used as pre-filters for pre-filtration as after-filters or adsorption filters downstream of adsorption dryers.

Its pleated filter medium consists of a unique combination of binder-containing and binder-free filter media. In this way, the ZN filter element ensures a low differential pressure with a high dirt-holding capacity.

Filter element XN – ultra-fine filter

FST-Filterelement XN: Feinstfilter

Our XN filter elements are high-quality ultra-fine filters. They are used at various points in compressed air systems for both wet and dry filtration. As coalescence filters, they can separate 99.9999 % of all fine particles as well as the smallest liquid components up to purity class 1.

All filter layers of these FST ultra-fine filters are arranged between two stainless steel support cylinders, including the drainage layers. These filter elements are correspondingly resistant, durable, and therefore cost-efficient.

Filterelement XXN – Super fine filtera

Filterelement XXN – Super fine filtera

As a superfine filter with a separation rate of 99.99999 %, filter element XXN is a convincing solution. This high-end, industrial filter, filters particles right down to the 0.01 µ range as well as smallest droplets of liquid oil.

Its pleated filter medium consists of a unique combination of binder-containing and binder-free filter media. Thus, our XXN ensures a low differential pressure in the system and provides a high dirt-holding capacity of even the smallest particles.

Application

Removal of smaller amounts of solid or liquid, finest impurities

Type of filtration

Wet filtration, dry filtration

Efficiency

99,99999 % (0,01µ)

Residual oil content

Filter element A & CA – Activated carbon filter & cartridge

Filter element A & CA – Activated carbon filter & cartridge

With a minimum residual oil content of less than 0.003 mg/m³, these highly efficient FST filter elements A and CA score highly. They absorb oil vapours, odours and flavours by means of high-quality activated carbon pellets.

The activated carbon filter A as well as the activated carbon filter cartridge CA are primarily designed for dry filtration: Both elements are only used when there are no more liquid components in the compressed air.

Application

Removal of smaller amounts of gaseous contaminants, especially oil vapour

Type of filtration

Residual oil content

≤ 0,003 mg/m³ (oil vapor)

Particles: class 2
Oil content: class 0–1

Filter element ST – sterile air filter

FST-Filterelement ST: Sterilfilter

As soon as compressed air comes into contact with pharmaceuticals or food, the first choice is our ST filter element. Our sterile filter elements are suitable for the separation of bacteria and viruses from compressed air streams. With an impressive separation efficiency of 100 % in relation to the particle size of 0,01 µ, they are also known as absolute filters.

To ensure that they remain sterile, these high-quality filters can be sterilised. They are used in sensitive areas such as food production or in the pharmaceutical industry to generate sterile air or ultra-pure air.

This sterile air filter is designed for use with process filter housings of the FWP series from FST.

Application

Removal of microbiological organisms with option for sterilisation

Type of filtration

Sterile air filtration

Filter element D – steam filter

Filter element D – steam filter

In many processes in the food and pharmaceutical industries, (saturated) steam is used to sterilise pipelines and tanks, or as a driving force. The rust particles produced in this process must be removed from the steam. Our filter elements D are highly efficient sintered body steam filters which we manufacture for exactly this purpose. Besides separating particles from steam in culinary quality (1,0 µ), they are also suitable for high-temperature filtration.

Our steam filters are compatible with filter housings of our process filter series FWP.
